History of Naoetsu works
July 1932

Nihon-Soda Corporation Limited rented a part of plant equipment of Shinetsu Nitrogen Fertilizer Corporation
Limited (Shin-etsu Chemical Co., Ltd. as of today) to manufacture Fe-Mn alloy, Fe-Si alloy and various electrodes.

September 1934

Special steel production started.

July 1939

Transfer its works to the present location and renamed to Nihon Soda Corporation Limited Naoetsu Steel works.

December 1947

Heat and Corrosion Resistant steel casting production started.

December 1949

Spined off from Nihon Soda Corporation Limited and restarted its operation as of Nisso Steel Corporation Limited.

NS pump production started.

September 1961

Vacuum furnace set up.
January 1970 Renamed to Pacific Metals Company CO.,LTD.

Operation of shell mold foundry started.
